The Office of Transportation Cooperatives participated in the first Philippine Auto Parts Expo (PhilAPEX) organized by the Comprehensive Automotive Resurgence Strategy (CARS) Program Management Office under the Board of Investments (BOI) held on October 12, 2017 at the Philippine Trade Training Center.
The PhilAPEX featured locally developed eco-public utility vehicle prototypes for the Department of Transportation’s PUV Modernization Program.
Moreover, the expo, a joint project of the Department of Trade and Industry’s BOI and the Philippine Part Makers Association, was a major initiative of the CARS Program for the year 2017. It was held to showcase local auto parts manufacturing capabilities, present the gains of some of the CARS Program investment plan implementations and provide the opportunity for a business-to-business networking amongst part makers and vehicle manufacturers.
