The Office of Transportation Cooperatives (OTC) held the kickoff activities of its initiatives to promote the Social Support Component Programs for the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP) on 03 October 2023, at San Fernando, La Union and San Fernando, Pampanga.
This project aims to engage transport groups and individuals all over the country and encourage them to support and be part of the transport modernization efforts of the government.
Special Teams from the OTC conducted orientation to cascade the basic concepts of fleet management system (FMS) and the salient features of the “EnTSUPERneur” and “Tsuper-Iskolar” Programs of the Administration.
“An informed driver, operator and members of the transport sector is an indispensable part of the Marcos Administration’s plans to give comfortable, accessible, and reliable, environment-friendly and safe public transport to the public. The OTC will exert all the needed efforts to reach our fellow public transport providers nationwide to raise awareness and disclose the experiences of Transport Cooperatives (TCs) on their journey to modernization.” said Chairperson Jesus Ferdinand D. Ortega. This project is under the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and OTC for the purpose of supporting the activities in the operations and implementation of the PUVMP.
